New Delhi: Japanese automobile giant Nissan has re-introduced its flagship SUV, the X-Trail in India at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida.
The new X-Trail is equipped with Nissan's electronic 4WD system. The new model gets automatic headlamps, active ride control and LED daytime running lamps. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to 18-inch alloy wheels. The top-end variant gets heated door mirrors, full LED headlamps, automatic wipers, familiar V-shaped chrome grille, wraparound taillamps, fog lamps with chrome enclosure among others. In the interiors, the SUV gets keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, electrically powered front seats, leather seats, cruise control and a surround view monitor.
The new Nissan X-Trail is only available with a hybrid powertrain system. X Trail is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine coupled to an electric motor. The combined power output is 179bhp, and power will be transmitted to all-wheels through a CVT automatic gearbox.
The X-Trail will rival against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Santa Fe and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan.
