New Delhi: Asus India has confirmed that it will only launch the 5.5-inch screen variants of the smartphone lineup. The launch is scheduled for April 23.
These three variants will be the ZE551ML (4GB of RAM), ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (2GB of RAM), and the ZenFone 2 ZE550ML (5.5-inch HD display). The Asus ZenFone 2 ZE500CL, which features a 5-inch HD display, will not be launched in India. All the three variants will support Indian LTE bands.
Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) with 4GB of RAM has two storage options, 32GB and 64GB.
ZenFone 2 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS Display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is powered by a 64-bit Super quad-core Intel Atom Processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. The process comes with 2 GB/ 4 GB of RAM.
It offers a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facing shooter. Both the rear and the front camera offer PixelMaster Technology, that has already proved it performance in previous Zenfone series. The rear camera has a f/2.0 aperture lens that the company claims can captures stunning and high-resolution photos with zero shutter lag.
The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Asus ZenUI user interface on top of it. The handset is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery and also supports fast-charging technology (60 per cent charge in just 39 minutes).
Other features include dual SIM support, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and 4G LTE speeds of up to 150Mbit/s.
