New Delhi: Within weeks of the Android 4.4.1 update rolling out to Nexus 5 smartphones, Google has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 for the Nexus devices (Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10). The update's size is a small one and it apparently brings bug fixes as well as security enhancements to the table. It may vary also: on the Nexus 5, the update is about 54MB, while on the Nexus 7 tablet, the update is about 40MB
The update will also fix the SMS hack that was discovered recently (affecting only Nexus phones). Look for the update notification of the OTA refresh or you can manually check for its existence.
The Nexus 5's Android 4.4.2 update notification claims to bring camera improvements like faster shooting, less shutter lag, more accurate focusing and exposures, better white balancing for true colours, along with bug fixes.
