New Delhi: Facebook is upgrading its New York City office space, signing a 10-year lease to relocate from its current 55,000-square-foot home to two floors of space at 770 Broadway totaling just under 100,000 square feet of real estate, the company announced Monday night. Famed architect Frank Gehry, who is already working on the company's Menlo Park expansion, will oversee the design of Facebook's new Manhattan digs. Among Facebook's soon-to-be new neighbors is AOL, whose NYC operations are also headquartered at 770 Broadway. Crain's New York Business first reported Facebook's interest in the new office space two weeks ago.

Facebook is upgrading its New York City office space. The social media network has signed a 10-year lease to relocate from its current 55,000-square-foot Madison Avenue office location to a much larger, approximately 100,000 square feet, office at 770 Broadway near Astor Place in early 2014.

The new Facebook location is to be designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry. The Canadian-American Pritzker Prize-winning architect is known for his unusual contemporary works of architecture that look more like as works of sculptural art than actual buildings. The structures designed by him make a great statement beyond just a place to live or work. Each of his designs is true out-of-the-box thinking and imagination taken to new levels.

The new workplace will be designed in true Facebook fashion of making the environment enjoyable and comfortable. This will be achieved through big and open and spaces for conferences and relaxation where people can meet or grab a white board to talk through ideas on a whim.

Let us take a look at its existing New York office space.

As you proceed to Facebook office's entrance there is written "Proceed and be bold" in giant letters.
