New Delhi: Bharti Airtel has announced that it will offer free access to new channels on its Pocket TV apps to watch the India election results.
The service is powered by Airtel digital TV, the DTH service arm of the Bharti Airtel. Launched earlier this year, Pocket TV is now available on the iOS platform as well as the Android play store. Loaded with around 150 Live TV channels and more than 10,000 hours of video content and over 13 channels it is available to customers at an introductory price of Rs 60 per month which is deducted from their Airtel digital TV account. Data charges will be as applicable.
The offer will be available to customers on May 15 and 16, post which customers will need to activate the service by sending the SMS to 54325 from their registered mobile number. For more details, visit http://www.airtel.in/pocketTV
“With this, customers across the country can now download the mobile application and enjoy two days of free viewing of all news channels (Hindi, English and vernacular) on the application and catch all the latest news updates on the poll results anywhere, anytime,” says the company in a release.
Airtel also offers live IPL streaming using Pocket TV in partnership with DigiVive. Last month it offered 50MB of data for its prepaid customers in Delhi NCR, Haryana and Kerala so that they can go online and read about candidates before casting their votes.
