Aircel started its operations in the country with a bang, but it never managed to win over as many consumers in Northern India as it did in the South.
No wonder, the Chennai-headquartered mobile network operator focuses more on providing quality services to its consumers in south, and guess what new they have on offer for them? They have announced free incoming calls on roaming for its consumers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
The new offer is named, ‘Five States, One Rate' and it will be applicable starting from today; i.e. 11th June 2015. As part of this offer, Aircel customers in southern India will incur no incoming call charges while outgoing calls will be charged at 1 paise/second for both local and STD calls.
Commenting on the launch of this offer, Anupam Vasudev, chief marketing officer, Aircel, said, “The five states -witness a huge amount of business and leisure travelling and given the porous borders between these states, we did not want our customers to restrict themselves in any manner while using our services.”
