New Delhi: Vistara, India’s fastest growing full service carrier, announces addition of Chandigarh to its network with effect from May 2nd, 2016. With the new route launch, Vistara will cover 16 destinations across India. Chandigarh is Vistara’s sixth destination in North India after Jammu, Srinagar, Delhi, Lucknow and Varanasi.
The daily service will directly connect Chandigarh to both Delhi and Hyderabad and will offer convenient connections via Delhi between Chandigarh and Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Ahmedabad.
Chandigarh, the capital of the states - Punjab and Haryana - is one of the India’s most modern and well developed cities. It has also been selected as a smart city under PM Narendra Modi's flagship Smart Cities Mission. Chandigarh is also the base for tourist spots such a Shimla, Manali, Kasauli and many other hill stations.
Speaking on the launch of its new destination, Mr Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said, “Chandigarh is a key market in North India and a base for significant business and tourism in the region and we are glad to connect to this beautiful city. Not only will we connect Chandigarh directly to Delhi and Hyderabad and to five other cities domestically, international traffic from the city will also be connected via our hub at T3 Delhi making it a convenient connection for them to travel overseas, even through our interline partnerships with 12 international airlines. Customers on this route will enjoy the “new feeling” and world class travel experience that Vistara is already known for.”
This latest addition to Vistara’s network reflects the airline’s phase of growth and the company plans to further launch its services to Srinagar, Jammu and Kochi. With all these services the total number of weekly flights will increase to 400.
Vistara recently inaugurated its signature lounge at T3 at Delhi International Airport providing world class experience to its customers.
