New Delhi: After all the controversies around the world’s “cheapest smartphone”, Ringing Bells, the Freedom 251 smartphone manufacturer has now set its eyes on the television market. The company has announced that it will launch the cheapest high-definition television set in the market.
The company has announced its event to be held on July 7. It is likely that the Freedom HD LED TV could also be announced at the same event. The smartphone maker will also also be unveiling new 'range' of smartphones at the event on Thursday.
No pricing and availability details about the TV have been revealed yet.
Anmol Goel, the company's general manager earlier mentioned that the TV would be less than Rs. 10,000. It is also likely that the company will take pre-orders before beginning to ship the product to the buyers.
According to rumours, the high definition LED TV is expected to come with a 32-inch display.
Meanwhile, Ringing Bells is scheduled to start deliveries for Freedom 251 from July 6, earlier slated for June 30. The company received around 7.5 crore registrations for the smartphone from across India.
The invite for the July 7 event also claims that Mohit Goel, the Managing Director, will share updates regarding the developments related to the Freedom 251 smartphone.
