New Delhi: Microsoft added another app to its Office 365 suite called Planner. This is a collaboration tool that is aimed at organising team activities, and will work just like Trello and Asana apps.
Planner will be made available automatically in the coming weeks in Office 365 suite.
The will be bundled along with the Office 365 suite for free. It will allow management of projects, teams, workflows, assign tasks, chat with members, and much more.
Microsoft has positioned Office 365 as a key part of a users' productivity workflow, and this app will make it easier for them to stay on track and successfully collaborate with colleagues.

The layout of Planner is simple and will create a separate board for each team. Through the app, members can also assign, update, and change tasks also the documents and photos can be shared and attached. Users can also chat with each other.
Apart from assigning tasks, users can also see progress reports. The app uses colour coding and graphs for long teams and getting a particular project completed. Every task has its own colour - yellow represents tasks not started, red for tasks that have overstepped the deadline, blue is for tasks in progress, and green stands for completed tasks.
Microsoft has also released a demo video that explains what the Planner can do.
Microsoft claims that the Planner works across all device platforms and enables on-the-go information updates.
Also Office 365 is available for business, professionals, home usage, and even students.
