Leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Saturday reported a decline of eight per cent in its overall sales for June.
According to M&M, its total sales for the month under review declined to 35,716 units from 39,009 units sold during June 2016.
The company's domestic sales was lower by three per cent to 33,861 vehicles during last month from 34,989 units sold during June 2016.
Exports declined by 54 per cent with 1,855 units shipped out during June 2017, down from 4,020 units sold abroad in the like period of 2016.
"At Mahindra's auto division, while our domestic sales for June registered a de-growth of three per cent, for the first quarter we grew by one per cent," said Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive Sector, M&M.
"Our CVs grew by 17 per cent in the first quarter and 12 per cent in June 2017. Additionally the MHCV segment also registered a growth of 35 per cent during the month."
