After the success of Lenovo K8 Note, the company launched Lenovo K8 Plus in India at an event in New Delhi today. Over the past few days, the company had been teasing the K8 Plus smartphone on its social media platforms revealing its features.

As expected, the handset has joined the list of smartphones with dual rear cameras with its 13-megapixel Purecell sensor and 5-megapixel depth sensor to deliver the ‘Bokeh’ effect.

The K8 Plus runs stock Android OS (Nougat 7.1.1) out of the box and comes with a sizeable 4,000 mAh battery.

Exclusively available on Flipkart from 12 pm, September 7 onwards, the Lenovo K8 Plus has been launched at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM+ 32 GB variant. The 4GB RAM+32 inbuilt storage variant will come in the Diwali season. The smartphone is available on Flipkart with BuyBack guarantee for six months.

Launch offers with the handset include Moto Plus 2 headphones at Rs 599 (whose standard price is Rs 1,599), up to Rs 10,000 discount on exchange of old smartphone, up to 30 GB additional data from Reliance Jio and many more.

The smartphone is available in two colour variants, namely Fine Gold and Venom Black.

The biggest talking point of the K8 Plus is its dual camera setup at the rear. Just like the K8 Note, the smartphone comes with a 13MP primary sensor paired with a 5MP secondary sensor, allowing users to take pictures with depth of field effects.

On the front, there is an 8MP sensor with a 'Party Flash' that will help make the smartphone an attractive option for selfie aficionados.

At the launch event, the company confirmed that K8 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS screen.

The handset comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage inbuilt storage, microSD card support up to 128GB (dedicated slot), dual SIM support, and USB OTG.

Teaser images have cleared that on the back of the phone will be a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor.

The new K8 Plus also boasts Dolby Atmos audio enhancements, and a dedicated Music Key on the left edge.

The K8 Plus come with a 4,000mAh battery which the company claims can last up to 48 hours, including up to 13 hours of web browsing and 100 hours of music playback.
