Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das today expressed confidence that the Indian economy will grow more than 7 per cent next fiscal.
"For this year's GDP growth, we have to wait till March-end. But next year, it will be upwards of 7 per cent," Shaktikanta Das told media persons.
Responding to a question on demonetisation, he said that it will only have transient impact on the economy.
However, he added that the impact of note ban will not spill over to the next fiscal.
Shaktikant Das further said that a large part of Indian economy is moving towards digital transactions.
“India’s growth remains much stronger despite the global headwinds. It has stayed afloat. Not only stayed afloat, but also doing well. Our commitment is to push growth momentum,” he said.
