New Delhi: In a bid to compete with rivals, Reliance and Airtel, Idea Cellular today has slashed mobile internet rates to offer more value to customers on their 4G, 3G and 2G data packs.
Idea in a statement said that now users will get up to 45 per cent more data benefits on sachet packs below 1 GB. Also the company will offer a wide range of 4G, 3G and 2G sachet data packs priced between Rs 8 and Rs 225.
Recently Airtel has announced the launch of Happy Hours for its prepaid customers. The ‘Happy Hours’ will let Airtel pre-paid customers to get 50 percent data back for all in-app content downloads carried on between 3.00 am and 5.00 am.
Also Reliance Jio will be launching its commercial services on August 15. The company will offer its 4G services that comprise voice and video calling, unlimited messaging, data, bundled Jio apps and more.
Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Airtel in a media statement said, "We want to ensure that benefits of Internet are reaped conveniently by every individual, through our innovative, customised and affordable products. This will enable the Internet revolution and its impact to be felt in every part of the country."
