New Delhi: HTC Desire 630 smartphone has gone on sale in India with a price tag of Rs 14,990. The Taiwanese company has quietly started the sale of the smartphone in India after it was first unveiled earlier this year at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
The Desire 630 features a ‘soft-touch’ polycarbonate body and the back of the phone has been given the micro splash finish.
The smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) super LCD display with 294ppi pixel density. The Desire 630 comes with a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with 1.6GHz. It has 2GB of RAM with a 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
In terms of photography, the Desire 630 features a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with BSI image sensor, and f/2.4 aperture. It also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.8 aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities.

On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Sense UI. The Desire 630 is powered by a 2,200mAh battery with up to 16 hours of talktime and a standby time of up to 32 days.
It also has an Extreme Power saving mode that can boost the battery life by shutting down everything. The device also a pair of BoomSound speakers that support Dolby Audio. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), and GPS.
The mid ranger HTC Desire 630 comes in a segment that includes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, YU Yunicorn and the Lenovo ZUK Z1. But the HTC phones seems to be a bit over prised as the other smartphones are not only priced lower, but also offer a much better set of specifications and features.
