Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today announced that the Finance Bill will be passed by the Parliament before March 31, 2017.
“FM @arunjaitley said that Finance Bill this year would be passed before 31st March, 2017 by Parliament,” the official twiiter handle of Ministry of Finance tweeted.
Jaitley made this announcement while addressing the financial advisors of various ministries.
During his address, Jaitley also released the revised general financial rules.
The Finance Bill is introduced in the Lok Sabha immediately after the presentation of the Union Budget.
The Finance Bill gives details of the financial proposals of the Government of India for the upcoming financial year.
