New Delhi: Taiwanese company HTC has confirmed the launch of its flagship smartphone on April 12. The event, which is likely to take place at 8 am in New York, 1 pm in London and 8 pm in HTC’s domestic market of Taipei, will also be streamed online. Here’s a look at everything we know about the flagship HTC 10 so far.
According to all the leaked photos, the upcoming smartphone will come with a full-metal body, but will have capacitive buttons up front. It is also expected to come with a physical home button in the front, which is likely to have a fingerprint scanner integrated into it.
It is also rumoured that the HTC 10 will be available in four colour variants with white and black front panels. The white variant will come with while and gold back panel and the black variant will come with white and black back panel.
It is expected to come with a 5.2-inch WQHD (2560×1440 pixels) display that will be powered by either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset or an equivalent MediaTek SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. It will have a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage option, along with the option to expand through a microSD card.
The smartphone will come with a 12-UltraPixel camera with laser auto focus, PDAF, optical image stabilization and dual tone LED flash. It will have a 8-megapixel front camera along with optical image stabilization to ensure blur-free selfies.
It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow under HTC Sense UI. In terms of connectivity, we expect it to come with a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
