DataWind, which is known for its low budget tablets launched a new affordable 4G tablet "moreGmax 4G7" at a price of only Rs 1,499.
“As the leading player in the tablet category, we want to offer incredible top-end specifications technology to all at an affordable price," said Suneet Singh Tuli, President and CEO, DataWind, in a statement.
Suneet Singh Tulli said “We are focused on driving the cost downward to a level where access to technology becomes universally affordable and democratization of technology finds its true meaning. Therefore, this new launch of smartphone at just Rs 1499 is a step in that direction. This will certainly enhance the connectivity in the developing nations.”
The Rs 5,999 device features a 7-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and runs on Android 5.1 operating system.
The tablet is powered by quad-core cortex A7 processor, has 1GB RAM and 8GB flash memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via micro-SD cards.
In addition, the tablet offers Wi-Fi hotspot, Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth and GPS.
