New Delhi: DataWind, the company known for providing affordable mobile Internet connectivity in emerging markets, has announced its new budget 7-inch tablet in India. The Tablet PC i3G7 is priced at Rs 5,999.

Along with the regular voice calling feature, the tablet supports 1.2 GHz Intel Quad Core X3 64 bit processor, which offers breakthrough Internet-delivery platform covered by 18 US and international patents allowing fastest mobile web experience on 2G networks.

This unique technology reduces bandwidth consumption and at a price of Rs 5,999, comes with free Internet browsing for one year with Reliance Communication on prepaid GSM SIM cards.

The DataWind Tablet PC i3G7 has 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card-up to 32GB. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options. The tablet supports 3G via SIM. 

The company claims that the tablet PC is lightweight with good performance and a talk time of up to four hours and standby time of up to five days. It also comes with HD playback and DataWind proprietary web delivery technology that gives high speed Internet browsing at the lowest data costs possible.

“With this new product, we are offering Indian consumers a unique combination of superior technology and unmatched style. Like its predecessors, the tablet offers the right mix of features and on-the-go connectivity,” said Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO, DataWind.
