Intex has launched a new smartphone under its Aqua series - Aqua Ring, which is priced at Rs 4,999 and is available exclusively on Amazon India. The design is one of the interesting features about the device with a sandstone finish and a ring surrounding the camera with a shiny strip all around.
The design is inspired by the Asus Zenfone Zoom. But as the Aqua Ring is an entry-level smartphone, the Zenfone Zoom is a high-end smartphone available at a price of Rs. 37,999.
The company is also offering a one-year warranty for the Intex Aqua Ring, and a six-month warranty for boxed accessories that come along with the smartphone purchase. In addition, the company has introduced an ‘Emergency Rescue Mode’ to help users in case of a calamity of any sort. Users will just have to press any volume key for more than three seconds that will activate the mode, and it will send your pre-registered emergency contact a message along with your location.
The Intex Aqua Ring features a 5-inch HD display with a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580A quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The smartphone comes with 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The device is equipped with 2,450mAh removable battery and the company claims 20 hours of standby time. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, a MicroUSB port, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Intex Aqua Ring will face tough competition from Micromax Bolt Selfie at Rs. 5,499, and Reliance Digital LYF Flame 1 at Rs. 4,999. The Bolt Selfie supports LTE while the LYF Flame 1 comes with LTE and VoLTE which is missing from the Intex Aqua Ring.
