New Delhi: Asus has launched its new smartphone the improved Zenfone Max starting at Rs 9,999 for the 2GB RAM model and Rs 12,999 for the 3GB RAM model.
Given the price of the handset, it looks like Asus is once again aiming at all the budget smartphones in the market, which is currently dominated by top Smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Lenovo K4 Note and more.

Price: The Asus Zenfone Max is available in two variants – 2GB of RAM with 32GB storage at Rs 9,999 and 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage at Rs 12,999. While the 2GB version is available for pre-order exclusively on Flipkart, the 3GB variant will be available across Amazon, Snapdeal, Flipkart and physical retail stores across India. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 3 (32GB storage with 3GB of RAM) is priced at Rs 11,999 and is available at Mi.com and Amazon India.
Features: The Zenfone Max comes with 5.5-inch HD (720p) display. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot with support of up to 64GB. On the software front, you get the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS wrapped under ZEN UI. On the other hand, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 runs on Snapdragon 650 hexa-core chipset with four Cortex-A53 cores and two Cortex-A72 cores, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. It runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Camera: The new Zenfone Max has a 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 with Laser autofocus and dual LED flash. Meanwhile, Redmi Note 3 comes with a 16-megpaixel rear snapper with PDAF and dual LED flash. Up front both the smartphones come equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
