New Delhi: Apple today released the iOS 10 public beta version unveiled last month at WWDC 2016. Contrary to the earlier pre-condition of the OS being open only for the registered developers, you do not need a paid developer for getting your hands on it.
All you need is an iOS device.

- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6 Plus
- iPhone 6s
- iPhone 6s Plus
- iPad Pro 12.9-inch
- iPad Pro 9.7-inch
- iPad Air 2
- iPad Air
- iPad 4th generation
- iPad 3rd generation
- iPad mini 4
- iPad mini 3
- iPad mini 2
- iPod touch 6th generation
Here are the steps to install it:
- First go to the Apple’s public beta website using Safari on your iOS device
- Log in using your Apple ID.
- Tap on the iOS tab, followed by a tap each on ‘enroll your iOS device’ and ‘download profile’.
- On the profile page, tap on the install button at the top-right corner, and then on the approval page tap on the install button again.
- Before the installation process is in progress you will first have to reboot your device.
- Once your device has rebooted, go to Settings then to ‘General’ and then ‘Software update’.
- Click download and install button to start the process of installing iOS 10 public beta on your device.
Apple’s iOS 10 comes with a lot of new features. Apple has come up with a totally revamped lock screen to the ability to uninstall preloaded apps. Other features include storage optimization, dark mode for late night readers, RAW image capture support, clock app called ‘Bedtime’, background music playback in camera app, improved Apple Maps and more.
