Ranjan Yadav, who defeated Lalu Yadav from Patliputra, joins RJD

He deserted JD(U) in 2014 after Nitish Kumar formed a ‘Mahagathbandhan' with RJD and Congress.

Ranjan Yadav, who defeated Lalu Yadav from Patliputra, joins Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD). Earlier, the former MP from Pataliputra constituency returned to JD(U) in 2022. Now, after two years, he is set to jump ship again. Yadav had played an inning with JD(U) in 2009 and contested Patliputra Lok Sabha seat on party symbol defeating then Bihar stalwart Lalu Prasad Yadav. Before joining JD(U), he was with LJP. 

He deserted JD(U) in 2014 after Nitish Kumar formed a ‘Mahagathbandhan' with RJD and Congress.  After quitting the JD(U), he formed a political party – ‘Janta Dal Rashtravadi’.
