A Pakistani flag was reportedly hoisted in the Madhubani Sipahi Tola area in Purnea on January 26, news agency ANI reported on Thursday. However, the reports were found to be untrue. While news agency ANI tweeted the purported photos of the Pakistani flag, officers of the local administration denied any such happening.

"We reached the suspect's house after getting the information. The flag has been removed. The matter has been discussed with SDO Purnea. Approrioate action will be taken," said Pawan Chowdhary, SHO Madhubani.
Republic Day was celebrated peacefully across Bihar and no untoward incident was reported on Thursday.
