Rohini Acharya, RJD candidate from Saran Lok Sabha constituency, booked for creating chaos at polling booth
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Rohini Acharya made a bid to reclaim the Saran Lok Sabha seat, once represented by her father. She faced a tough fight from sitting MP and BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
Rohini Acharya, daughter of former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate from Saran Lok Sabha constituency, was booked for allegedly creating chaos at a polling booth in Bada Telpa.
The FIR was lodged in the city police station by BJP worker Manoj Singh for allegedly creating uproar at Bada Telpa booth number 318,319 of Saran Lok Sabha constituency. Case number 349/2024 has been registered in Chapra Nagar police station under section 307,171C,188, ROP Act and all these are non-bailable sections, said the sources.
The development comes a day after the Saran Lok Sabha constituency witnessed several incidents of poll violence.
