Yamaha launches it's new and highly awaited motorcycle called the Yamaha MT-15 in India. This is a new street-fighter motorcycle from Yamaha, that will rival the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the KTM 125 Duke in India. It is the most affordable addition to Yamaha India's MT range that only had the MT-09 that comes to India via CBU route. The MT series is the part of the ongoing Call Of The Blue campaign from Yamaha that now comes with 3 motorcycle series in India that includes the R Series, FZ Series, and now the MT Series.

Yamaha MT-15: Engine and Power
The Yamaha MT-15 comes powered by a 155 cc liquid cooled SOHC engine that comes with a Variable Valve Actuation System along with a slipper clutch that has been tuned slightly to make the bike more agile and offer better acceleration. It produces 19 bhp of power and 14.7 Nm of peak torque, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The ECU of the bike gets a setting that helps the bike to extract better low and mid-range power and gets a change in the final gear ratios as well.
Yamaha MT-15: Style and design
Comparing the Yamaha MT-15 that is sold in Indonesia, the Indian version gets many notable changes in terms of equipment list and features. In terms of styling, the bike borrows its cues from the MT range of bike that is sold globally, which come with muscular styling and aggressive stance, backed with the sharp-looking twin headlamps. The bike comes with standard twin forks compared to the USD forks that are available in the Indonesia-spec model along with the monoshock suspension at the rear.
The rear of the bike gets a short tail with vertical taillights and comes with a 282 mm front disc brake with a single channel ABS unit. The Yamaha MT-15 will come in two colour options of Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black.
