Suzuki Motorcycles today launched an entry-level cruiser in India which has been priced at Rs 98,340 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new motorcycle, Intruder 150, is aimed at targeting the market segment dominated by the Bajaj Avenger 150 Street.
Intruder 150 is a new breed of cruisers that shares Gixxer like frame with some alterations like reduction of seat height to 740mm. In addition to that, the new bike has a raised handlebar and forward-set footpegs for a comfortable cruiser-type riding posture.
The new motorcycle is powered by 155cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that already propels the Gixxer series. The bike has a five-speed gearbox and churns out 14.8PS at 8,000rpm, and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000rpm.
The bike also retains the bigger 17-inch, three-split-spoke, alloy wheels from Gixxer. It has a disc brake at both the front and the rear end while the ABS is offered as a standard option.
