Amavasya Tithi of Jayeshtha month will start on Sunday 29th May 2022 at 2:54 pm and will end on 30th May at 4:59 pm. Hence, Shani Jayanti will be celebrated on 30th May depending on Udaya Tithi.

Shani Amavasya: Significance

Lord Shani is called the God of Justice. He is the ruler of karma and rewards people according to their deeds and has a compelling influence on human life. 

Devotees observe a day-long fast and seek Shani Dev's blessings to rid themselves of the adverse effects of Shani from their horoscope. The importance of Shani Jayanti this year is also greater as many more auspicious yogas are being made on this day. As May 30 is a Monday, it will be Somvati Amavasya. Along with this, there will be many rare auspicious combinations like Sarvarthasiddhi Yoga and Sukarma Yoga. Vat Savitri Vrat is also on the same day, on which women pray for the long life of their husbands.
