CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say they suspect foul play in the disappearance more than two weeks ago of a pregnant 26-year-old postal carrier.
In a statement, police say they are basing their suspicions on the length of time that Kierra Coles has been missing and "the fact that she has fallen off the grid."
Coles was last seen Oct. 2 near her home in the Chatham neighborhood on the city's South Side and was reported missing by her mother, Karen Phillips, two days later. Phillips told WLS TV that she grew concerned because she and her daughter usually talk every day.
WLS reports that surveillance video from that day shows Coles dressed for work and walking past her car even though she had called in sick.
