LOS ANGELES (AP) — Grammy-winning singer Michael Buble is shutting down rumors that he's going to retire, saying he was misquoted in a recent interview.

Buble told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he is not planning on retiring anytime soon. The Canadian singer is disputing an Oct. 13 interview published in the Daily Mail that said he would be would be quitting music after the Nov. 16 release of his upcoming album "Love."

The report suggests Buble was stepping away from music after his son Noah's cancer battle. But the singer says the story is false.

Buble had taken a two-year break from public life to spend time with his family before recording his eighth studio album. He says he found out about the report after receiving text messages from friends.
