ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A Tennessee couple dreamed of visiting six Disney theme parks on two coasts in one day, and they made their dream come true.
Heather and Clark Ensminger achieved their goal after a whirlwind 20-hour journey when they arrived at Disneyland in Southern California on Wednesday night.
Disneyland was their sixth and last park in a journey that started with visits to four parks at Walt Disney World in Florida, a 2,500-mile plane trip to California and stops at Disney's two California parks.
The trip was planned for the Tennessee couple's 10th wedding anniversary, but it also marked a sadder occasion, the first anniversary since Heather Ensminger's father died.
Clark started planning the trip without letting Heather know as a surprise to ease the pain of the anniversary.
