New Delhi: The UAE leg of the Indian Premier League is now over with the defending champions Mumbai Indians getting a humiliating fifth successive defeat by Sunrisers Hyderabad on Wednesday. Due to elections in India, the BCCI's decision to shift the league to UAE was truly justified by the huge number of crowd that came to stadiums. The league had a wonderful debut in UAE and most importantly it bring cricket alive in the historic venue of Sharjah. India TV brings you the highlights of the first 20 IPL matches:Glenn MaxwellKings XI batsman dominated the UAE leg by his astounding performance with the bat. With 300 runs in 5 matches at a staggering average of 60 and strike rate of 201, he returns to India with the orange cap on his head. After missing his century in first three games (95, 89 and 95) he made the Kings XI Punjab unbeatable so far in the tournament; winning five on five. They are sitting comfortably on the top of the table with 10 points.Gambhir's ‘duck' talesKolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir struggled in almost every match he played. He scored a hat-trick of ducks in first three games against Mumbai, Delhi and RCB. Later on he went to score a single against Kings XI and a convincing 45 in a tied game against Rajasthan Royals. He now holds the record of most number of ducks (10) in the IPL history.Sunil Narine – the mystery spinnerThe most important trump card for struggling Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunil Narine also made a record of taking fastest 50 wickets in IPL. He made this record in their opener and his 32nd game against Mumbai Indians on 16th April where he bagged 4 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.100 IPL gamesThree Indian batsmen Suresh Raina, M. S. Dhoni and Rohit Sharma become the only players to complete their 100 IPL games. Raina played his 100th game in their tournament opener against Kings XI while Dhoni and Rohit played their 100th game against each other for CSK and MI respectively.RCB at its new lowRoyal Challengers Bangalore scored their lowest total ever in the IPL when disciplined Rajasthan bowlers shut their innings at the score of 70. Later on RR achieved their victory comfortably by 6 wickets.One match got tied twice!For the first time in the history of IPL, one match got tied twice at the same time. It happened when KKR was playing Rajasthan on 27th April; first scores tied, and then super over was also tied. In the end it was by virtue of a higher boundary count that Rajasthan were declared the winners. It was the most dramatic finish ever in IPL when 40 overs and a super over could not even decide the winner of the match.Lynn got that stunner!There were many incredible catches in the tournament but one which was taken by KKR's Chris Lynn against RCB on 24th April to dismiss AB de Villiers was the show stopper for that game. He slips, but he somehow straightens his body on the ground, keeps an eye on the ball, arches his body back and takes a freakish catch. This match winning catch made him an overnight hero across the social media. He also made a useful score of 45 runs. This was only his second IPL game and first for KKR which they won by 2 runs.The defending champions Mumbai gone downOn one side if we have Kings XI winning five on five, there is Mumbai Indians who lost all their five games in UAE leg. It has now become an extremely difficult task for them to defend their title. Bollywood tadka at the grand Gala dinnerThe IPL highlights could not be completed without a highly dramatic act by bollywood king Shahrukh Khan on the night of gala dinner. KKR owner along with Deepika Padukone danced on the popular item song “Lungi Dance”. He also asked MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli to join him on stage. After a bit of leg-shaking, the KKR owner decided to set the stage up for Kohli's Swayamvar. After Virat expressed his views on what type of bride he wanted, SRK showed the girls according to him. But when he uncovered the last photograph of a girl, Virat went blushing on the stage in front of the large crowd. It was the photo of his lady love Anushka Sharma that made him speechless at that moment.
