New Delhi, Jan 15: India may be a poor country but when it comes to politicians they can put to shame many politicians across the world.
India has a long list of ‘Crorepati' politicians. In fact, this has become the very USP of Indian politicians. Recently, when charges of misappropriation of funds amounting to Rs. 71 lakh were leveled against Union Minister Salman Khurshid, another union minister Beni Prasad Verma ridiculed the allegations by retorting that a union minister will not do anything wrong for a petty amount of Rs. 71lakhs. He went on to say that he would have given the allegations a serious though had it been anywhere close to Rs. 65 Crore and not Rs. 65 lakh.
It's not that all politicians have made money through inappropriate means. There are many politicians who have earned good money through sheer hard work , dedication and commitment.
