Mumbi, Aug 3 : A Maruti Swift car suddenly went up in flames on Thursday night at Vakola flyover, but a man and a woman, who were inside the car, survived.
The car driver said, he suddenly saw his window shield wipers stop all of a sudden. As he and his woman friend came out of the car, they noticed a spark near the engine, and soon the car caught fire.
The car was completely gutted by the time firemen came. Traffic on the highway was disrupted for nearly half an hour, as police closed the flyover to traffic fearing a blast in the car petrol tank.
The man's latop and other valuables kept inside the car were destroyed in the fire.
