Itanagar: Some government and private buildings and roads and bridges were washed away by flood water after cloud burst in Sebe circle of West Siang district, according to deputy speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh assembly Jomde Kena.
Kena on Thursday informed that the cloudburst which occurred in the night of September 10 last washed away roads and bridges along with several government and private buildings in the circle.
The public works department inspection bungalow in Ditten village and most parts of the NHPC-constructed Tara Mori-Sibe Rite road in Gengi have also been washed away, Kena, who is also the local MLA said in a press release.
Some dwelling houses in the area have also been washed away, while a number of people have been injured and 80 per cent of the crops in the circle have been damaged, he said.
Meanwhile, a delayed report from Aalo, the district headquarters on Thursday said that one Genga Gamlin, a resident of Gamlin village, drowned in Rimi river on September 8 last and his body is still untraceable.
