Actor Varun Dhawan who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ opposite actress Alia Bhatt has finally started the shooting of ‘Judwaa 2’. The film started with a devotional Ganapati song in which Varun will be seen performing some phenomenal dance moves.
The project has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala whose wife Warda took to micro blogging site Twitter to share a picture from the set. She tweeted, “And so it Kickstarts #Judwaa2 #SufyanNadiadwala #ShafaatNadiadwala #SubhanKhanNadiadwala @NGEMovies 's clap team need your love now..”
The shooting kick started with a mahurat shot on Friday. The pictures surfacing on social media also showed Varun, Sajid and David in deep discussion on sets. The project has been helmed by Varun’s father David Dhawan. The father-son duo has previously worked together in ‘Main Tera Hero’.
The film is the sequel of 1997 film ‘Judwaa’ that featured superstar Salman Khan in the lead role. It was speculated that Salman will play a cameo in the sequel. However nothing official has been said on the same.
Along with Varun, ‘Judwaa 2’ also features Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez. Though the star has worked with Jacqueline in ‘Dishoom’, he will be sharing the screen space for the first time with Taapsee.
On a related note, Varun’s upcoming film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is the sequel of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ ands is slated to release on March 10.
