The release date of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s forthcoming movie ‘Chef’ has finally been out. ‘Chef’ will be releasing on July 14th 2017.
The movie revolves around the life of a professional chef, who quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant to launch a food truck with his friend and son.
The news was broke by Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Interestingly, ‘Chef’ is a Hindi adaptation of 2014 release American comedy drama of the same name and is being helmed by director Raja Krishna Menon of ‘Airlift’ fame.
‘Chef’ has gone on the floors in October this year and will be shot in various states across India including Goa, Delhi, Rajasthan and Punjab.
While Saif will seen playing the role of a chef in the movie, he is putting in extra efforts for it.
According to the media reports, the Nawab of Pataudi has undergone culinary skills under the guidance of experts.
It is also stated that Southern actress Padmapriya will be seen playing Saif’s ex-wife in the movie. Besides, ‘Chef’ also stars actress Sobhita Dhulipala of ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ fame, who will essay the role of Khan’s close buddy.
Director Raja Krishna confirmed the news saying Shobita’s role will be loosely based on Scarlett Johansson's role in the original. Reportedly, the actress will commence shooting in December this year
‘Chef’ is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Bandra West Pictures.
