Saurav Mehta, hailing from Mangalia village near Sirsa fell in love with his classmate Ramandeep Kaur while studying in eleventh standard.
Initially, they were good friends, eventually they fell in love. On September 2, 2013 they got secretly married in a temple in Hissar.
When Ramandeep's family got to know about their marriage, they forcefully took her to their native village.
On September 7, 2013, Ramandeep's parents alleged Saurav of abducting Ramandeep and forcefully marrying her.
Saurav had to spend 37 days in jail. He was released on October 27 on bail. He did not give up and took a stay order from Elanabad court.
