The Delhi gang rape had led to nationwide protests. The apparent awakening made it seem that there would be no more atrocities on women in the country.
Ironically, the following year saw some horrendous sexual abuses against women.
The year 2013 witnessed shocking incidents like the Shakti Mill gang rape, the rape case against self styled godman Asaram and his son Narayan Sai, sexual harassment case on Tehelka founder editor Tarun Tejpal and many more.
Despite theses case, the nation began the year 2014 with a hope that women will no longer be subject to abuse. Unfortunately, this year also began with gruesome crimes against women.
