New Delhi: The infamous 2008 ‘Noida double murder case' has bounced back into public conscience following the release of Hindi film Talwar.
The case refers to the mysterious death of 14 year old Aarushi Talvar and her 45 year old domestic help Hemraj on the night of 15-16 May at Aarushi's Noida residence.
While Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit in her bedroom on May 16, Hemraj's decomposed body was found next day on the roof
The incessant media coverage aroused huge public interest in the case while it went on to become the most talked about murder mystery in recent past.
Moreover, the conviction of the parents was also said to be the reflection of the times we are living in.

The biggest question was who killed Aarushi? Were her parents involved in the double murder? Is it possible for parents to kill their own daughter? If not Talwars, then who killed Aarushi?
While the investigative agency failed to reach on any conclusion, media reports were full of almost every possible theory of the fateful night.
In the end, the dentist couple Nupur and Rajesh Talwar have been convicted by a CBI court of murdering Aarushi, and their servant Hemraj. Though no concrete evidence was found against the couple, who still claim their innocence, court pronounced them guilty on circumstantial evidences.
