From the moment a child is born, he or she is taught to follow norms of the society. People lay emphasis on studying hard in school, often leaving no room from creativity. The recently released short film ‘Alike’ talks how creativity is drowned due to societal pressure.

The 7-minute long short film is a Pixar-like affair by Madrid-based animators Daniel Martínez Lara and Rafa Cano Méndez. It portrays how important it is for parents to understand their kid’s wishes. It portrays a beautiful relationship between father and son.

The short film has won many awards and is loved by everyone who has watched. We are taught to work hard in school, go to college, get a respectable job and then pay our bills. But, seldom someone talks about creativity or what a person actually wants in his or her life. The film is very relatable.

The critically-acclaimed short film is made of open-source 3D rendering program called Blender. So, don’t miss the beautiful film, it has a wonderful message to give.
