Greater Noida: DSK Hyosung has rolled out the Aquila GV250 at the 2014 Auto Expo. The new bike that costs Rs 2.69 lakh (Delhi Ex showroom) has been launched under the luxury cruiser segment. The Aquila 250 will be the second quarter-litre offering from the stables of Hyosung after the GT250R.
The new cruiser will be brought in to our two-wheeler market via CKD. It is also the cheapest V-twin cruiser offering in India and will appeal to those who don't want to spend big on their cruise biking needs.
The bike is powered by a V twin-cylinder, oil-cooled DOHC 8-valve engine, Aquila 250 engine produces 26.21Bhp of max power at 9500 rpm, and 21.37 Nm of max torque at 7000 rpm. Based on its big brother - the 650cc cruiser – the Aquila 250 uses a regular cradle type frame suspended on telescopic forks upfront and regular coil dampers at the rear.
On the outside, the bike looks impressive enough due to its heavy use of chrome. The alloy wheels and engine parts are finished in chrome. The bike comes in two-toned colour. Braking needs are taken care by a large single disc brakes on the front and a drum at the rear. The bike comes with high handlebars, low seat height and a forward set of foot-pegs.
“This luxury cruiser is the first-of-its kind in the Indian market and will offer unparallel ride quality, performance, cruiser comfort and stability for speed connoisseurs,” said Speaking at the launch, Shirish Kulkarni Chairman, DSK Hyosung.
